Mestalla brimming with emotions running high
Relive the emotional events that took place in the run-up to Valencia CF-Real Betis to pay tribute to the victims and those affected by the tragic flash floods
Gabriel Paulista’s message to Valencianismo:
"It was a heated moment during a game which, even though it was a friendly, we didn't want to lose. Something happened to me: I heard a fan say something that I didn't like, which was disrespectful towards me. I shouldn't have done what I did. My attitude was that it was an important game in which we were playing at home, and in the end I stopped defending to address a fan. Something that was said that disrespected me and other teammates. I just want to apologise to all of the fans of the club. I am here to represent this club to the death, and I said this from the start. I want to defend the club and my teammates, and I apologise to everyone."
